John Carpenter's Suburban Screams

Unfortunately, I'm a bit disappointed with this series. When a horror icon like John Carpenter attaches his name to it, you expect to see something exciting. And that is disappointing. First of all, these are true stories, but if you start interviewing the real main characters of the story from the beginning of the episode, you already know that they may experience unpleasant things in the episode, but that they are not in any real danger. Otherwise they wouldn't have been able to tell the story. Secondly, it is not really the most gruesome things that are told. There's just no real tension in most episodes. I thought episode 2 was the most exciting. And I also liked episodes 3 and 5. I thought the other three episodes were a bit bland. But this is how I think about it. Don't let that stop you from checking it out for yourself :-)
