Justified: City Primeval has been given an official description: After leaving the hills of Kentucky fifteen years ago, Raylan Givens now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a US marshal and part-time father of a fifteen-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road ahead is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind him. A chance encounter on a deserted Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who has slipped through the fingers of Detroit's best and now wants to do so again. Mansell's lawyer, the formidable Carolyn Wilder of Motor City, is determined to represent her client, even as she finds herself caught between cop and criminal, playing her own game as well. In classic Elmore Leonard fashion, these three characters embark on a collision course to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.

The series will be based on an acclaimed book by Elmore Leonard called City Primeval: High noon in Detroit. The showrunners are Dave Andron and Michael Dinner. Justified: City Primeval will premiere on July 18, 2023 on Hulu. Where and when it can be admired in the Netherlands is currently unknown. You can get in the mood with the teaser below.
