As Greek mythology gets a modern twist, an increasingly paranoid Goldblum must contend with mortals with powers to bring him down, and a dysfunctional family with powerful siblings scheming and failing among one another in the trailer that dropped on Monday.

"We need to make destruction really sing," says Goldblum, quoting Succession's Logan Roy and wearing designer tracksuits, at one point in the trailer for the Greek mythology drama from creator and writer Charlie Covell, who previously wrote the British drama The End of the F***ing World for Netflix.
Eventually, Zeus becomes fearful of his downfall and the end of the world when the mortals learn what the gods have in store for them. That is, after the God of Gods wakes up one morning to find a wrinkle on his forehead, a possible precursor to an ancient prophecy foretelling Zeus' downfall.
“A line appears, the order wanes, the family falls and kaos reigns,” an unseen narrator says at one point as an epic world of dystopian chaos unfolds. As his paranoia grows, Zeus is seen at one point wielding a shotgun as he appears to dangerously self-destruct..
Kaos also stars Janet McTeer as Zeus’ wife Hera, Nabhaan Rizwan as Dionysus, David Thewlis as Hades, Rakie Ayola as Persephone, Stephen Dillane as Prometheus, Aurora Perrineau as Riddy, and Debi Mazar as Medusa. The ensemble cast includes Killian Scott, Misia Butler, Stanley Townsend, Billie Piper, and Suzy Eddie Izzard in cameo roles.
Kaos premieres August 29 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
