Fourth season to be the final one for Killing Eve

Killing Eve is going to end with its fourth season, which will air in 2022. BBC America is still looking at potential spin-offs.

Killing Eve is going to end in 2022. In this year, the delayed fourth season will air. This doesn't necessarily mean the end of the popular crime series.

The cat-and-mouse thriller with Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh in the lead will start the recording process of the fourth season in the United Kingdom and the entirety of Europe. The final season will have eight episodes. It is currently scheduled to air in 2022.

The network and production company hasn't announced any specific ideas and sources indicate that there's currently nothing going on. But, it is clear that the property of AMC Networks is likely to expand the Killing Eve universe. There are quite a few characters that could end up having their own spin-off. It is highly unlikely for Oh and Comer to be paired up in a spin-off. Possibilities include The Twelve, the shady organisation that has ties to Villanelle and The Bitter Pill, a group of investigative journalists that helped Polastri with her research. A number of viewers have also suggested a spin-off that revolves around various Villanelle pupils, such as the young murderer Felix, which is with whom she dressed up as a clown.

“We have been unbelievably blessed to work with extraordinary human beings throughout the life of Killing Eve,” said executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle. “From the magical Phoebe, to the delectable Emerald, Suzanne and now Laura, headed by the super-powers of Sandra, Jodie, Fiona and Kim, and with brilliantly talented directors and crew. No one knew what an adventure we were embarking on and there’s so much more to come. Buckle up!”
