Long Way Home is the latest motorcycle adventure from Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, and this time they travel across Europe on classic motorcycles. In a journey of over 12,000 kilometers they cross 17 countries, from the rugged coasts of Scotland to the Arctic, and via Eastern Europe back to the UK. No electric gadgets this time, but old-fashioned Moto Guzzis and BMWs from the 70s, with all the charm and flaws that come with it.

The series excels in tranquility and atmosphere. The images of Scandinavia, the Baltic States and the vast tundras are simply beautiful. At the same time it also feels personal: the conversations between Ewan and Charley are candid and sometimes vulnerable, with a lot of attention for friendship, growing older and reflection on previous trips.

Long Way Home is not an action-packed road trip, but an intimate and visually beautiful journey with its heart in the right place. Perfect for fans of human stories, meaningful journeys, and of course: vintage motorcycles.

All four "Long Way" series are very worthwhile. Where I first thought it would be a bit of ego tripping by a few actors, it turned out to go a lot deeper.
Beautiful landscapes, cool bikes and good conversations. Definitely worth watching.
