Pidgeon (The Wilds) and Kelly are phenomenal. This first season has far exceeded all my expectations. It was beautiful, it was gripping, and the acting was incredibly strong. I was deeply moved many times by the relationship between the two searching people who found in each other what they could not find anywhere else or with anyone else. Anyone who has ever been in love will recognize themselves a little in their story.
Personally, I had no idea that JFK Junior was so incredibly famous in the States in the late '90s. The penultimate episode was 90% dialogue, and boy, was that a strong episode! It felt like I was watching Scenes From A Marriage (Adam Driver/Jessica Chastain) again—that very high level is what I mean!
It doesn't surprise me at all that this series receives such high viewing and ratings worldwide, because it exudes quality and everything is top-notch, including the sets, the script, the extras, and the entire atmosphere of the '90s that has been brought back to life. Wonderful.
