Agree with Gumstarr, it's fun, but definitely not the high-flyer I expected. All that despite all the beautiful images, story is tame and not really interesting.

Watched the first 5 episodes on netflix and want to finish it but this won't be 2 am. I like it. Mainly because I like Japanese/Korean fighting movies and this is a bit like it. Excess of female nudity and beautiful fight scenes, but I don't find it really exciting. The makers are clearly influenced by the Japanese 'pinku' (slightly erotic) genre from the seventies.. That scene with the naked sword fighting woman was stolen from the Japanese 'Pinku' film 'Sex and Fury' from 1973. (Great! Full movie with Eng.subs here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxu6s89ZxII ) The difference with Pinku is that those movies often have a kick-ass female character. Here only a somewhat weak Marco Polo. Anyway, visually quite beautiful.

Great series! I have to say that the pilot episode was a bit disappointing, but it got better and better with each episode.

I love the first two episodes! Good storyline, beautiful music in combination with beautiful landscapes. I can't wait to see how episode two continues!
