Fair is fair. Watched 4 episodes and this is really going to be the new super series of Netflix. Finally a series in which no cameras are turned away if there are blows or the endless sparring that does not even seem real. I'm already devoted to Daredevil. After the 3rd episode I was completely in it.

Seen 3 episodes. I cross it closed because this series is not worthwhile for me. There are other series that are much more beautiful.

Just got to see the first seven episodes of season two and if you liked the first season, I wouldn't make any plans for this weekend. With the addition of Elektra and the Punisher, a lot more happens than in season one, where things started to drag on a bit in the end.

The first episodes, about seven, are really nice with the arrival of Elektra and the Punisher. The two add a little more flavor and depth to the series. In the first season I had the idea at times that Fisk and Daredevil could not carry the show completely together. In the second half of season 2 things shoot out of the bend, as CC11 also indicated in its comment. There does not seem to have been much thought about what kind of story they want to tell exactly, which results in the release of balloons that suddenly explode in turn. At the bottom of the line it was quite a nice season for me, but it was not the sequel we were all hoping for.

To be honest, I didn't really like the series at all. He's not really bad either, but bit the same every episode. Not really spectacular, bad storylines that are boring. It is all just not. Very unfortunate, missed opportunity, because it could have been a top series. I'm going for Marco Polo.

Until yesterday I was a fan of Daredevil. What may have been the big surprise last year turns out to be an equally big disappointment in the second season. Only the makers will be able to tell why exactly it went wrong, but of the sublime that the first season had in it, hardly anything remains in season 2. It already starts with what ultimately turns out to be a shitty story full of things that hardly contribute anything to the whole. In addition, there is the chemistry or rather the lack thereof between Daredevil and Elektra. I don't know if it is up to Elodie Yung who plays the role of Elektra, but something is just missing. Where the first season excelled in the action scenes, in the second season they go completely wrong thanks to an abundance of third-rate ninjas. Third-rate ninjas indeed, who sometimes go unconscious when an iron bar is thrown against the upper arm from half a meter away or even clearly without being hit at all. They are otherwise polite. For example, in the middle of a fight, they wait patiently for you to say goodbye to a loved one before making another attempt to kill you. For example, 6 suddenly pop up somewhere for no apparent reason, if there is any, after which they willingly let themselves be slaughtered. Don't worry, because they have about 800 colleagues who not only follow our heroes over the rooftops through the city during their flight while some of them give their best on the street to kill everyone, but they are also more then be well prepared because almost everywhere the protagonists pass during the same scene there is a ninja on a roof on the lookout along the way. After all the effort these ninjas went to to follow Daredevil and his merry friends back to his house, you would expect the ninjas to visit with the whole gang, or at least that was my idea. But nothing could be further from the truth, because the next day there is exactly 1 ninja at the door to clean up everything. Where the first season got a nice 9.4 from me, season 2 will have to do with a meager 6 and even though the end of this season suggests that we will have a sequel, I can just stop here because this will never come again good.

Completely agree with your findings, but in my opinion you are a bit too harsh in your final judgment. For me it was mainly a season with two faces. A fairly strong first half in which the Punisher is a pleasantly brutal counterpart to Daredevil, who at times cannot be seen as the best boy in the class. Nice that there is now something to choose for the viewer: Do you go for Boyz II Men (Daredevil) or do you prefer to invite Rammstein (Punisher) to your party. Furthermore, you will not hear me complain about Elodie Yung in nice tight pants. I can effortlessly watch that episode after episode. In the second half of the season things do indeed derail. Too many stories, vague stories that are not explored at all. Found the first season especially strong. because they had not made a caricature of the genre and they miss the point in the second half of season two. Then you will indeed get bad guys who wait their turn to be screwed to death. The amorous tension between Daredevil, Page and Elektra is also not very well expressed. Totally agree with you that those are all missed opportunities. For me, however, there was still enough left to look this out fairly relaxed. In one way or another I expect a little less from this kind of series, than for example a Sopranos (just to name a cross street), where it is much more about character building. Season 1 was indeed much better overall, but certainly the Punisher brought enough 'edge' in Season 2 to find this an entertaining second round. I thought then.

I believe we understand each other when you say that it suddenly collapses halfway through the second season. I don't know if you saw Elektra at the time, but Jennifer Gartner was just 10 times better in the movie than Elodie Yung in the series. Two beautiful women, not of that, but I miss almost every kind of magic between her and the opponents in the series with Elodie Yung. On the other hand, if you look at the interaction between Daredevil and Karen Page in the first episodes of Season 2, then the passion just drips off. flashbacks cited in order to prove otherwise simply fail in their intent. But the main reason Season 2 doesn't work for me is the lack of a decent story, something that 800 wannabe ninjas can never make up for me.

I can always agree with Dirk's comments. You cannot deny that you do not have a strong opinion. I like that. Regardless of whether I agree, I always love to hear what you think of a series. Still, I understand Gumstarr in this. As a viewer you cannot always be 'too' critical, otherwise we also forget why we are watching: to be entertained. We also need to be able to overlook some things. Anyway, I say this while I have yet to see the last five episodes. So it can go completely off track as you say. Although I do add that the first season was just strong, but that a 9.4 is perhaps too good a figure. A nice 8 is sufficient.

It may surprise some, but I also look purely for entertainment and I do that quite well every day, I think of myself. That does not alter the fact that I do not just let everything push me through the throat that I get served, I think the range we have of series is too large for that. And yes, I'm probably a bit too critical most of the time although for me that depends a lot on the genre I'm looking at. In that respect, I am much more susceptible to errors in series based on true stories or historical facts than when it comes to science fiction or comedies. I mean, if they let a gang of vikings row from Norway to the south of England in 1 day on the History Channel, it probably won't disturb most of the viewers or completely miss it even while my meter goes completely into the red in the meantime the rest of the series may be. And usually, the better I find something, the more critical I become of the sequel to come. That also means that during the last episodes of Daredevil I was more concerned with what went or had gone wrong than with what was going on at the time, which probably also explains my low score for the second season.
