Lead actress leaves Mom just before its eight season

One of the lead actresses of the American comedy series Mom will be leaving the series just before the eighth season.

Anna Faris will be leaving the CBS series Mom. The series revolves around a polite and realistic single mother who has tried to recollect herself in Napa Valley. Farris portrays Christy Plunkett, one of the main characters. In a statement, Faris mentioned that her past seven years at Mom were some of the best years in her career.

It has not yet been revealed how Faris' character is going to leave the series. It is known that her departure will be part of the first episode in season eight. Faris will not appear after that. She will be leaving the series just before production on the eighth season begins. This is set to start on the 14th of September.
