Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Mindy's childhood inspires the series. Netflix has ordered one season of ten episodes of the American comedy series, which is set to release on the 27th of April.
The series revolves around the complicated life of Devi Vishwakumar, a modern Indian teenager of the first generation. She is an overachieving high school student. Devi has a short fuse, which occasionally results in stressful situations. Maitreyi Ramakrishna will portray Devi. It will be her first acting role. Kaling is also an actress, but she has stated that she will play a part in this series.
