Three new seasons of New Amsterdam at NBC

New Amsterdam (2018) is an American medical drama series from the NBC channel. The second season is currently being broadcast in the United States.

New Amsterdam (2018) is inspired by the memoirs of Dr. Eric Manheimer, Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital, and his fifteen years as medical director at the hospital. In this medical drama, we follow the brilliant and charming Dr. Max Goodwin, the institution's new medical director, who seeks to greatly reduce bureaucracy and provide exceptional care. Goodwin is portrayed by Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist). Other cast members are: Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher and Tyler Labine.

The second season premiered on the 24th of September and is currently on a winter break. The season will resume on the 14th of January.

In the meantime, during a meeting of the Television Critics Association, NBC has announced that no fewer than three subsequent seasons of New Amsterdam (2018) have been ordered. The series will therefore continue in any case until the 2022 - 2023 season.
