Nadia Parkes (The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself) cast in BBC drama Kidnapped

The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself actress Nadia Parkes is leading the upcoming BBC drama about the terrifying kidnapping of British model Chloe Ayling.
Based on Ayling's book, Kidnapped (working title) follows her abduction in Italy and her courage and resilience in captivity, followed by a trial that landed her captors in prison. Despite their conviction, Chloe faced headlines accusing her of faking her own kidnapping and found herself at the center of a media frenzy.

Parkes (pictured) will portray Ayling in the six-part Kidnapped series and she will be joined by Adrian Edmondson (A Spy Among Friends), Nigel Lindsay (The Capture), Olive Gray (Halo), Eleanor Romandini (The White Lotus), Julian Swiezewski ( 1983) and Christine Tremarco (The Window). Further casting will be announced in due course.

Parkes played Annalize O'Brien in Joe Barton's Netflix fantasy drama The Bastard Son & the Devil Himself and Rosa de Vargas in Starz' The Spanish Princess.

"This is a timely and important story about how we perceive trauma in the media," Parkes said. "I'm honored to play Chloe and be a part of this adaptation for the BBC."

Killing Eve writer Georgia Lester is penning Kidnapped (working title) and it is being produced by BBC Studios for BBC Three. The BBC said it is being made in full collaboration with Ayling and will be filmed in Italy and the UK.

Kidnapped is directed by Al Mackay (Without Sin) and produced by Clare Shepherd (Viewpoint). Executive producers are Priscilla Parish, Michael Parke and Andrew Morrissey for BBC Studios, with Lucy Richer doing the same for the BBC.
