
Plimpton's (pictured left) presence in Task was revealed in a teaser for HBO and HBO Max's upcoming 2025 series, which you can watch below. She plays Kathleen McGinty, an FBI agent who recruits Tom (Ruffalo) to lead the task force just as she learns she must retire. Enos (pictured right) plays Susan Brandis, Tom's wife and the heart and soul of their family. She and Tom married young and is the reason he left the priesthood.
The cast also includes Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raúl Castillo, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Owen Teague, Dominic Colón, Margarita Levieva, Raphael Sbarge, Mickey Sumner, Brian Goodman, Elvis Nolasco, Colin Bates, Isaach de Bankole, Phoebe Fox, Silvia Dionicio and Coral Peña.
Plimpton starred opposite Kate Winslet in HBO's The Regime last year. The Emmy winner will soon appear in Prime Target on Apple TV+, premiering in January, and is currently filming Netflix's East of Eden.
Enos stars in the fifth season of Apple's For All Mankind, where she reunites with her The Killing co-star Joel Kinnaman. Her recent television roles also include AMC's Lucky Hank and Prime Video's Hanna and Good Omens.
Task is based on an original idea by Ingelsby, who serves as writer and showrunner of the limited series. He produces together with Ruffalo; directors Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield; Paul Lee and Mark Roybal of Wiip; and David Crockett. Nicole Jordan-Webber and Jeremy Yaches of Public Record are co-executive producers.
