Alison Brie, known for her work on GLOW, has landed the lead role in FX's Untitled Witness Protection pilot. The project was created by Hannah Fidell and Gina Welch, with Welch also serving as co-showrunner and executive producer. The series is based on an old script by The Sopranos creator David Chase, who has stepped down to focus on a new film.

The series follows a sophisticated woman from Washington, D.C., who, after a violent confrontation, decides to betray her partner and subsequently goes into hiding with her daughter through the witness protection program in a remote coastal town in Maine.
Alison Brie rose to prominence with her role as Trudy Campbell in the AMC drama series Mad Men and had her breakthrough starring as Annie Edison in the NBC sitcom Community. She then voiced Diane Nguyen in the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman and portrayed Ruth Wilder in the Netflix dramedy series GLOW, for which she was nominated for both the Golden Globe Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
She recently starred in the Peacock series Apples Never Fall (with Annette Bening) and has just finished filming the feature film Masters of the Universe, in which she plays the villain Evil-Lyn.
