Andrew Scott, amongst others, will be joining the cast of Pursuit of Love

Next to Lily James (Downton Abbey), there are more cast members announced for Pursuit of Love. For example, Andrew Scott (Fleabag).

Last year, BBC One ordered a start of production on the three-part series The Pursuit of Love. They've now confirmed that the production process is about to start. Next to Moonage Pictures and Open Book, Amazon will co-produce the series. Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom) has written the three-part series.

It had already been confirmed that Lily James (Downton Abbey) will be portraying the lead character. Andrew Scott (Fleabag), Emily Beecham (Into the Badlands), Dominic West (The Affair), Dolly Wells (Doll & Em), Beattie Edmondson (Josh), Assaad Bouab (Messiah (2020)), Shazad Latif (Star Trek: Discovery) and Freddie Fox (The Crown) have also joined the cast.

The series is an adaptation of the book Pursuit of Love, which has been written by Nancy Mitford. It will be based on the first book of the trilogy. The story revolves around a higher class English family, who live in the time between WW1 and WW2. The story deals with matters such as growing up and falling in love.
