The nominees for best comedy/dramedy series were chosen based on input from multiple sources. First of all, the readers of MySeries have had a major (actually largest) influence on the selection. In addition, my fellow reviewers have made their selection. And one thing is for sure, I fully support the list of nominees!
Below, in alphabetical order, are the top ten nominated comedy/dramedy series from 2022;
After Life

After three seasons, After Life has sadly come to an end. Even though the third season is less strong than the previous seasons, it was still one of the better comedy/dramedy series of the past year. In After Life, Ricky Gervais very believably plays a bitter journalist who has trouble coming to terms with the death of his wife. The series is characterized by very dark humor, but it does reflect on the heavier elements of life. Difficult to compare with other series and definitely worth watching!

All Creatures Great and Small (2020)

All Creatures Great and Small (2020) is set in 1937 and is about vets working in the Yorkshire Dales. The fourth season will start in 2023. The series is based on the books by James Alfred Wight, which were previously adapted for the BBC from 1978 to 1990. The series has received worldwide acclaim. For example, Rotten Tomatoes gave 97% for the first season and subsequent seasons have received almost solely good reviews. It is therefore more than justified that All Creatures Great and Small (2020) is among the nominees.

Barry

Like After Life, Barry is a series with very dark humor. It's about a hitman named Barry who wants to make a career switch to acting. Barry is played by Bill Hader and he does it very well. He is mainly known for comedy roles, but he knows how to give a lot of emotional weight to the character. In addition, there is also a lot of hard action in the series. The third season has now been completed and the fourth season is on its way. Barry is also well-received by the critics and has now won nine Emmys. No surprise that Barry is on this list.

Derry Girls

Derry Girls is set in the 90s in (London) Derry in Northern Ireland. It's about a group of girls (and a boy) who attend a Catholic school for girls. Very strong humor and sometimes almost absurd. In addition, many true iconic moments are processed in the series, such as Bill Clinton's visit to Derry. And if you are a fan of music from the 90s, you will definitely enjoy this series. We had to wait a few years for the third season, which also happened to be the last season.

The Flight Attendant

The Flight Attendant is a dark comedy based on the 2018 book of the same name. It is a mystery in which the viewer tries to find out what the titular flight attendant has been through. The series has received good reviews and the title song has won an Emmy and also received several nominations. For HBO Max, it was the biggest series debut ever for the platform, according to certain sources. The popularity was clearly reflected in the shortlist of nominees.

Grace and Frankie

Grace and Frankie is about two older women whose husbands have revealed that they are in love with each other. The two women eventually become friends. Although the series was poorly received upon its debut, the quality continued to improve throughout the seasons. The seventh and final season was released last year. Over the years, the series has managed to win thirteen Emmy nominations. That is not surprising given the star cast of Grace and Frankie.

Hacks

Another Emmy favorite. Hacks has won no less than six and has also received many nominations. The second season was completed last year and the third season is on its way. Hacks is about the professional relationship between a young comedy writer and a legendary comedian. The series is very well-written and has a lot of depth.

Only Murders in the Building

Legendary comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short star in this Disney+/Hulu series. Only Murders in the Building is about a trio who are very interested in true crime. But then someone mysteriously died in the apartment complex where they live. Given their common interest, they naturally want to find out. The series has since been renewed for a third season.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

While She-Hulk: Attorney at Law doesn't quite fit into this list in my opinion, it was certainly an entertaining series. There was more humor in it than in the average MCU series and it regularly plays with breaking the fourth wall. Especially the ending of the series is very unexpected. This series has been placed on the shortlist of nominations by several and therefore rightly has the chance to win the prize best comedy/dramedy series.

What We Do in the Shadows

What We Do in the Shadows is about four vampires living together in Staten Island and how they interact with modern society and other supernatural creatures. It is therefore a fresh approach to vampires. It is based on a New Zealand film from 2014. The fourth season was completed last summer and it has since been renewed for a fifth and sixth season. In recent years, the series has received seventeen Emmy nominations and won one.

As you can see, the list of nominees is very diverse. I am therefore very curious about which series will win the award for best comedy/dramedy series of 2022.
These were all ten nominees nominated by the readers, the writers, and myself. If you still want to choose a different series, you can always use your wildcard. Good luck voting!
