With this new feature, Streamz offers the public the opportunity to freely browse through its extensive catalogue and discover its range of Flemish and international series and films — an offer that was previously hidden behind a paywall. From now on, browsing the catalogue no longer requires a paid subscription or account.
The streaming platform's catalogue is now freely accessible via the website and the apps, and shows exactly the same offer and the same user experience as for paying subscribers. Unlike other streaming services, where an account for a trial period or immediate payment is required to even view the entire offer, Streamz is the first to apply this. Streamz is consciously opting for openness. The viewer can immediately discover everything the platform has to offer.
Hans Vercammen, Head of Content Operations, says: "We are very pleased that we can now offer viewers the opportunity to discover our entire catalogue, without having to take out a subscription right away. We strongly believe in transparency towards our customers. Viewers first want to be able to get to know the offer before they make a purchase decision. Streamz responds to this growing need. With this new function, we lower the entry threshold and make it possible for even more Flemish people to effortlessly get to know the rich offer of Streamz and discover the strong, high-quality fiction and non-fiction that is made in Flanders."
In addition to discovering the streaming platform, Streamz also treats viewers to an extra treat: viewers can watch the first episodes of a whole range of selected series as soon as they create an account — again, before they decide to take out a subscription. This gives viewers a concrete foretaste of what Streamz has to offer. All available information for other series remains visible, such as trailers, synopses and cast details.
Hans Vercammen, Head of Content Operations, also said: "By playing the first episodes, viewers can really discover what Streamz has to offer — from top Flemish fiction such as Putain, 2DEZIT and next week Holy Sh!t to international series such as MobLand and soon also the final season of The Handmaid's Tale. This way, they can also make a well-informed decision whether our content and our platform suit them — without any barriers and with a preview of our tastemakers."
As of today, fans of series and films can visit the Streamz website or in the app to discover the entire Streamz catalogue without a paid subscription.
