CBS orders Ghosts and has casting news about pilot The Three Of Us

CBS has ordered the comedy series Ghosts, which features Rose McIver (iZombie). Next to that, casting news has been revealed about the comedy pilot The Three Of Us. Back in February 2020, the pilot of Ghosts was given the green light at CBS. Production was only able to begin in December. The cast options were on the brink of ending, so CBS decided to order the entire series straight away. Ghosts has been written by Joe Port (The Odd Couple (2015)) and Joe Wiseman (The Odd Couple (2015)). The series is based on the British series with the same name that released in 2019.

The lead characters will be portrayed by Rose McIver (iZombie) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Mira, Royal Detective). Ghosts revolves around a young couple, Samantha (McIver) and Jay (Ambudkar). Their dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful mansion. The downside to the story is that the house is on the brink of collapse and it's inhabited by the many deceased previous owners. Next to McIver and Ambudkar, the cast will further consist of Rebecca Wisocky (Star Trek: Picard), Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place), Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon), Asher Grodman (Succession), Richie Moriarty (Pinkalicious & Peterrific), Sheila Carrasco (The Good Place) and Román Zaragoza (Stumptown).

Where Ghosts received a straight-to-series order, CBS hasn't provided the same certainty to the comedy pilot The Three Of Us. In this series, Oliver Hudson (Splitting Up Together (US)), Malin Akerman (Billions) and Brent Morin (Merry Happy Whatever) portray the lead characters. This series, however, doesn't currently have any official actors and actresses who are attached to the project. CBS will take the series into consideration when the network is going to make decisions regarding the 2021-2022 season.
