It follows a young woman from our modern world who becomes trapped in a time loop in a realm ruled by the Dark Lord. Tired of dying over and over again, she finally decides to start a revolution and become the Dark Lord herself.

In addition to the Godzilla franchise, Wingard is working on a sequel to Face/Off, which he will write and direct. He is also behind films such as You're Next and The Guest.
