DeVon Franklin continues to do business with CBS Studios and has sold his latest series. The founder of Franklin Entertainment is developing detective series Grace for CBS after extending his deal with the studio for another two years.
Franklin (pictured), who was behind the Eva Longoria-directed film Flamin' Hot, signed his first deal with CBS Studios in 2020 and it was renewed in 2022.
Grace follows a real-life detective known for his brutal, cynical style and a passionate, community-minded pastor who wears her heart on her sleeve and reluctantly works together to solve complex crimes as they debate their differing beliefs while trying to share their growing chemistry. to ignore.
It will be written by Devon Greggory, showrunner of Paramount+'s revival of The Game (2021) who also has a deal with the studio, and Corey Moore, who has written for series such as All Rise and NCIS: New Orleans. The pair will produce alongside Franklin.
Jenna Nicholson Grieb leads Franklin Entertainment's TV division as vice president of television and will serve as co-executive producer for Grace.
