Brooke Shields to lead crime series Allie & Andi for Acorn TV

Brooke Shields stars and serves as an executive producer on Allie & Andi, a six-episode murder mystery series.Robin Jill Bernheim (Star Trek: Voyager) is the creator of Allie & Andi. The project reunites Shields and Bernheim, who first worked together on Netflix's Mother of the Bride. The news was announced last week during AMC Networks' presentation.



Set in a picturesque colonial New England town, Allie & Andi follows a bestselling author (Shields, pictured) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer to track down the murder of a close friend. The series, a co-production between AMC Studios and Dynamic Television, will go into production this fall and premiere in 2026, exclusively on Acorn TV.

“I’m overjoyed to collaborate once again with the incredible Robin Bernheim who has created two strong, smart women you want to root for within Allie & Andi. The writing and storytelling are unmatched and it’s a project I’m not only proud of but a role I can’t wait to embody,” said Shields.

Shields is known for her role in the NBC comedy series Suddenly Susan, where she played the titular character. She received two Golden Globe nominations for the role. She has also had television roles in NBC's comedy-drama series Lipstick Jungle, NBC's procedural crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and The CW's romantic comedy-drama series Jane the Virgin.

Bernheim is also known for her work on CBS's Star Trek: Voyager, Hallmark's long-running drama series When Calls the Heart, and Netflix's The Princess Switch and A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding.
