'12 Monkeys’ ordered by Syfy

Syfy announced last Friday that they have ordered the fight for the future of the human race drama series '12 Monkeys'

'12 Monkeys' is based on the movie with the same name '12 Monkeys' with Bruce Willis from 1995, directed by Terry Gilliam. The drama series will follow a time traveler played by Aaron Stanford ('Nikita') who arrives from the post-apocalyptic future to prevent a deadly virus from destroying all human life. '12 Monkeys' will also star Amanda Schull ('Suits'), Noah Bean ('Nikita') and Kirk Acevedo ('Fringe').

The new time-travel drama will have twelve episodes and will premiere in January 2015.
