FOX orders ‘Empire’ and ‘Red Band Society’ to series

After ‘Gotham’ FOX decided to take two more drama pilots in production. ‘Red Band Society’ and ‘Empire’ will premiere this year.

This year, 'Red Band Society' has been a sought-after choice for many writers. The series is a comic drama series situated in a hospital of a big city. It exploits the daily lives of a group teenagers living in a pediatric ward of a hospital by means of dark humor. Not insignificantly, Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer has a leading role in the series.

‘Empire’ is a drama pilot of Lee Daniels, director of ‘The Butler’. The series is described as a unique family drama situated around a hip-hop 'Empire'. ‘Empire’ is about Lucious Lyon (Oscar-nominee Terrence Howard), a charismatic superstar who is getting ready to take his company to the stock exchange, a so called IPO. That adventure will be accompanied by the necessary resources, be it fair or unfair.
