Starz orders comedy series Run the World

Starz has decided to order eight episodes of the new comedy series Run the World, after a successful pilot was produced. It is a series of showrunner and executive producer Yvette Lee Bowser (Dear White People). The previously announced cast consists of Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb, Corbin Reid and Stephen Bishop. The series is written by Leigh Davenport (Boomerang (2019).

Run the World tells the story of a group of black, lively, best friends who work and live in Harlem while striving for "world domination." At its core, it is a series about enviable friendship that is not just about survival, but about enjoying together.
