The streamer has dropped an official trailer for the seven-episode series that serves as a prequel to the film franchise. In this comedic prequel series to the Ted films, it is 1993 and Ted's (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame is over. He now lives back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, sixteen-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John's parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and niece Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a bad influence on John, but ultimately he is a loyal friend who is always willing to stick his neck out for friendship.

MacFarlane serves as co-showrunner with Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. Other executive producers for the series include Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark and Aimee Carlson (Fuzzy Door Productions). The series is from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, Fuzzy Door and MRC.
