Amazon working on science fiction series Dawn
Amazon Studios is working with Macro Television on a new science fiction series based on the book Dawn by Octavia E. Butler from 1987.
Victoria Mahoney will direct a pilot of the series. The project has been under development since 2017. Now that Amazon has become a partner, there is a good chance that the series will finally come. The book Dawn won a Hugo Award and tells the story of a black woman who works with aliens to revive the human race 250 years after a nuclear war.
