HBO Max orders Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

HBO Max orders Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin

The Pretty Little Liars reboot, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasca (Riverdale), has been ordered by HBO Max.
It was already known that there was going to be a reboot of Pretty Little Liars, which originally premiered in 2010, had a total of 150 episodes and was then cancelled in 2017. Good news for the fans of the American drama series, as the reboot Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has been ordered by HBO Max. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasca (Riverdale) and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) have written the reboot of the popular series. They hope that the reboot will honour the legacy of the original series, but that it'll also bring new and unexpected elements.

Pretty Little Liars is based on the bestsellers by Sara Shepard and revolves around five girls, from which one suddenly disappears. The original series was created by I. Marlene King (The Heiresses). The reboot is also based on the books, but will have a new story with new characters.

The reboot revolves around a group of not-so-similar teenage girls who are haunted by an unknown assailant. They don't just have to repent for their own sins, but also for the secret sins of their parents from twenty years ago. Twenty years ago, a number of tragic events nearly tore the working town of Millwood apart.
