Oljefondet

Oljefondet is a Norwegian dramedy series which aired on TVNorge. The series premiered on December 16, 2018.

This is a humorous drama TV show that revolves around the Norwegian pension fund, affectionately called Oljefondet. The fund was established to invest the enormous amount of tax revenue from the Norwegian oil and gas industry. The fund is there to, among other things, secure the future costs of pensioners and the socialist way of free healthcare. The show follows some fictional investors who work for the fund and invest billions and more billions according to the ethical investment rules that Norwegian politicians have set up. Following these complex ethical guidelines in a big cynical world of big business creates some interesting complications. Currently the fund owns 1%, well, of the world.
