Hulu hit Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a fourth season

Only Murders in the Building, starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, has been renewed for a fourth season by Hulu. The opening episode of season three of Only Murders in the Building had the most viewers of any Hulu Original script in 2023. Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd guest-starred in the season where Charles, Oliver and Mabel (Martin, Short and Gomez) investigate a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway production.

Rudd played Ben Glenroy, a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is interrupted by his death, while Streep played Loretta Durkin.



Only Murders in the Building remains Hulu's most-watched original comedy series ever. It comes from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman (Grace and Frankie, Looking). Martin and Hoffman produce alongside Short, Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal.

Now that the WGA strike is over, the writers' room is expected to reconvene soon.

The series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios. In January, the series will compete at the Emmys in the Outstanding Comedy Series category against Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Bear, Jury Duty, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Ted Lasso and Wednesday.

Short is also nominated for an Emmy, as is Nathan Lane for his role as Teddy Dimas.
