Five new cast members have been added for the second season of Outer Range

Some time ago, Outer Range was renewed for a second season by Prime Video. A number of new cast members have now been announced.
Filming for the second season of Outer Range is currently in full swing and five new faces have been added to the cast of the Prime Video series. Christian James, Megan West, Daniel Abeles, Kimberly Guerrero and Monette Moio have joined the cast in recurring roles. Deadline revealed that character descriptions for the new characters are still being kept secret.

The series follows a Wyoming farmer, Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin, Marvel's What If...?), who fights for his land and his family. He discovers a mysterious black void in his pasture after the arrival of a certain Autumn (Imogen Poots, I Know This Much Is True), a drifter with a connection to the Abbotts' ranch. As the Abbott family comes to terms with the disappearance of their daughter-in-law Rebecca (Kristen Connolly, House of Cards (2013)), they are pushed further into the abyss when a rival family, the Tillersons, attempt to take over their land.

Lili Taylor, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie and Will Patton also star in the Prime Video series. Josh Brolin recently shared that season two will take a different direction than season one. He did not elaborate on what exactly he meant by this. He probably raises this in response to the mixed reception of the first season. A premiere date for Outer Range season two will be announced later.

I thought the first season was great! Slow with a lot of mood and mystery. The music and soundtrack were also top notch. I'm a bit afraid that they will want to be a bit too commercial in the 2nd season :-(
