That Season 2 finale was beautiful. Caitriona Balfe is a truly wonderful actress and a wonderful woman. Superb series !!!

Am I now one of the few who think that the level in season 3 is starting to show some questionable traits? 20 years later, the characters still look the same, even in this day and age, let alone in such a rough environment (what traces have those years of prison left on Jamie?). Claire who knows her way around Edinburgh after only a very short presence. Fantasy and space to take a walk with reality in a series like this one is OK, but for me there are also limits. The love scenes are milked out to infinity. Romance fine, but this pink eyeglasses thing seems to last longer every time. Why keep looking? The thrill and adventure story is fun and exciting enough. But to continue to qualify this as a top series is unfortunately going too far for me now.

I can't post my own response (? just registered?), but you're right. I thought it was a wonderful series that hasn't quite ended yet. I am a viewer who watches (and reads) in different ways. Knowing that I'm being fooled this time, I'm still hooked on this series. If Jamie weren't sexy anymore, it would definitely detract from my viewing habits. A little swooning over what is almost perfect also brightens up everyday life. That's how honest I am.
