Last season of Parks and Recreation starts on 13 January

NBC has announced the premiere date for the seventh and final season of ‘Parks and Recreation’. On Tuesday 13 January 2015 the first two episodes will air. NBC will then broadcast back-to-back episodes of the comedy each week, until the series will end with a one-hour emotional episode on 24 February.

Parks and Recreation’ premiered on 9 April 2009 and follows Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the deputy head of the ‘Parks and Recreation’ department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. Knope takes on a project with a nurse named Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) to turn a construction pit into a park, while trying to mentor a bored college-aged intern. However, Leslie must fight through the bureaucrats, problem neighbours, and developers in order to make her dream a reality, all while with a camera crew recording her every gaff and mishap.
