PONIES

I haven't heard anything about a second season yet. And that is really annoying, because the first season ends with no less than two cliffhangers. And the second one is a huge one. If this series doesn't continue, I actually think you'd be better off not watching it. Because if S2 doesn't come, or only in three years or so, then I feel like it was a huge waste of my time that I watched this. You can't leave people behind like that.

Why do I feel this way? Because I actually think it's a really fun series. Suspense, humor, seduction, intrigue—it has it all. Actually, you never really know if people are who they seem to be. It is pretty clear about the two main characters, though. But everyone around them is ambiguous. That creates a sense of paranoia while watching. Little is what it seems. As it should be in a real spy series set in Moscow during the Cold War.

Emilia Clarke as Bea shows she has more to offer than Daenerys Targaryen and is convincing as the grieving widow seeking answers about the death of her (CIA) husband. Haley Lu Richardson also comes across very well as the other widow, who turns out to be capable of more than expected. Of course, it is a bit far-fetched here and there, but I was able to follow almost all the developments in the story.

All in all, a fun, entertaining series that I would be really disappointed if it were cancelled after one season. Fingers crossed!
