Put Robert Kazinsky in a series and I'll be there. Unfortunately I have to wait until January 2016. Trailer looks very good!

Well, what kind of series is this .... I've watched it all and I still can't figure it out .... at times it was exciting and fun, but it's okay. No second season, at least in this format, is a wise move. The story is partly sf and that is allowed but also makes it somewhat improbable. The players do their best, but that does not always work. Except Tim Dekay who always plays himself according to me, first in White Collar and now here again. Still nice to see that. The rest of the cast is mediocre. Modern technology is credible, even reincarnating ... Is it recommended? Well, if you have nothing else to do ... eg when you have a flu :) it can be done but don't expect a tour de force. Just look away and / or watch bing ... 11x45 min. And oh yes, do me a glass phone too !!!!!! Pleassssseeeee ...... :)

Just this: it is quite confusing, the series is called Second Chance but on Netflix each episode is entitled: The Frankenstein Code. That too is a bit like the series itself: make up your mind!

This is probably one of the worst pilots I've seen this television year. In any case, Second Chance is arm pressing with Truth Be Told and Agent X for that coveted title. My god this is bad! Second Chance was previously called Lookinglass and before that the series was called The Frankenstein Code. It's as if they didn't know what to do with this series at Fox themselves. In October, the order for the series was also reverted to only eleven episodes. This series will officially start in January, but Fox has already made the pilot available via on demand. Why, Fox? It cannot be otherwise than that in a few months' time this series will be made fun of with its own name. The trouble begins when seventy-five year old former sheriff James "Jimmy" Pritchard is murdered. Jimmy caught his killers searching his son's house. As said, that meant the end of the story for Jimmy. But, Jimmy gets a second chance! Billionaires, and twins, Otto (Adhir Kalyan, Rules of Engagement) and Mary (Dilshad Vadsaria, Greek) bring Jimmy (Robert Kazinsky, True Blood) back to life with ingenious technology. Mary is suffering from cancer and she has not much longer. Jimmy's blood could be the solution for Mary, so the twins have a guinea pig. Jimmy is now in the body of a young man and he is much stronger than he has ever been. Jimmy is now determined to bring his killers to justice and protect his children (including Special Agent Duval Pritchard) and grandchild from malicious intent. However, he does need the medical support and technology from Mary and Otto's company to stay alive. So you understand why Fox considered the name The Frankenstein Code. It is the same kind of story in a contemporary guise. A jacket that can be returned immediately. After seeing this pilot, the fate of this series seems clear to me. When it is said that the quality of the series of the American network channels has been disappointing for years, they mean series like Second Chance. This is a pilot that you cry to watch. Crying with grief. Sobbing, because you have to keep looking because the pilot has not yet ended. Why give this series a second chance after the pilot, if the dialogues, story and acting are so inadequate? Robert Kazinsky is not very memorable as the 'new' Jimmy. The charisma is lacking and the actor gives an uninteresting interpretation to his role. His English accent is heard too often. Even more distressing is Dilshad Vadsaria, as Mary, who constantly talks about Otto in an unnatural way. 'Otto can't do without me', 'Otto can't handle this' and 'Otto, so and so'. Grow up, Otto! The dialogues are used in such a strange way that it becomes extremely disturbing. The dialogues in this pilot are in any case below par. Most painful is the relationship between Mary and Otto. You just don't want to fast forward the scenes between them. I understand that Dilshad Vadsaria is a beautiful woman, but she has no knowledge of acting. Perhaps it is the material (which may well be the reason), but this is seriously insufficient. Adhir Kalyan, who was still doing so well in Rules of Engagement, also makes a muddy figure here. It's as if everyone had been rolling in the mud before appearing on set. The story is so mediocre too! So standard! It rattles on all sides. Who brings a man back to life with an extremely illegal experiment and then lets the man whistle? Jimmy is just not doing a moonwalk yet. Shouldn't you keep a closer eye on the man whose blood you need to overcome the disease you are suffering from? Shouldn't you be afraid that something will happen to him or that he will fall into the wrong hands and that will lead to your illegal experiment? Is a billionaire, and CEO of a billion dollar company, walking around without security during a soccer practice of Jimmy's granddaughter? Certain characters in this pilot behave in a way that would only arouse suspicion. No, Second Chance isn't going to be it. This is the type of pilot where you can already say with certainty that this will not be a good series. There is too little to hold on to. The series is about getting a second chance. What would you do if you got a second chance? Jimmy then gets a second chance and gets this material to work with. I feel sorry for you Jimmy; they better let you rest in peace. Mr Vevie therefore has an urgent message! Wait a moment before pressing play. Please think about it again. You know, go to the gym. Walk your dog. Go to the cinema. Do what you want to do, but do something else! Do everything but start on this pilot. www.meneervevie.com
