I liked the series better than the movie. Too bad no new episodes are being made.

I am completely up to date with the series and I loved it. Then saw the movie. Awesome!! I'm glad I did it in that order, because I understand the film / series response. Still, I also love the series, and I will definitely keep watching. I am so curious how this story continues. I believe I have a new addiction :)

I only watched the 1st season until I couldn't stand the bad acting anymore ..... maybe I'll ever try it again if there are no other series.

it is a series based on a series of books, the first book is also a film adaptation. I have not seen the first episode myself, but what I have seen from the trailer is not very good.

I saw the movie myself a long time ago and really liked it. But the makers did not think it was good enough for a second film. That's why they made the series, but in my opinion this is worse than the movie .. But we'll wait and see how the rest of the series goes :)

Her ne kadar "Bıraktıklarım" listesine eklemek istesem de, belki ilerde bi şans daha verebilirim diye buraya ekliyorum. Umarım pişman etmez.

When I saw the shadowhunters trailer, I couldn't wait to check it out. But what have I been fooled! Bad acting and a bad story! Gave it a chance (seen 3 episodes) but I'm gonna give it up. I honestly don't expect it to get any better. Its a shame, but there is nothing to do about it!

Three times is right. If so, Shadowhunters is doomed to fail. The series is based on The Mortal Instruments books by Cassandra Clare. The first feat was the 2013 film of the same name. A film that served as toilet paper for critics. I assume that many a poster of the film is still brown. The second feat is this Freeform series (ABC Family thought this was a cool, cooler name). The series will probably do better than the movie, but the first episode is definitely not a high flyer. Eighteen-year-old Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara, The Fosters) seems like a normal teenager. She is a beautiful girl, with nice friends and she has just been accepted into a prestigious art school. However, her eighteenth birthday is not all about getting older: Clary also discovers that she is a Shadowhunter. They protect humanity and hunt demons. Something her mother wanted to tell her, but of course did not see the right time. Clary meets three teenagers (Jace, Alec and Isabelle), who will take her under their wing. You have to, because Clary's life is no longer certain. A group called The Circle is after her because her mother has an important object (the mortal cup) in her possession. After her mother's kidnapping, Clary finally joins the Shadowhunters. Clary's life will never be the same again. But, let's not linger in the shade for too long. Sir is now stepping into the light to tell you that the Shadowhunters pilot is quite mediocre. The whole underlying data is in fact a mess and easy to tackle. It is a moderate striker that you can tackle with playful ease. Clary's mother Jocelyn has known for years that Clary's life is in danger. She knows, based on her actions here, that Clary's eighteenth birthday will bring about significant change. And, what does this mother do (who clearly does everything to protect her daughter) ... this mother does not tell her daughter the most important information that could possibly protect her from everything she is now experiencing! I understand that a series has to start somewhere, but this is just an act of weakness. It is completely illogical for a mother to act like that. Jocelyn could easily have gradually given her daughter more information about her true nature and who they are. The decisions Jocelyn makes only add more danger to Clary's life. Let that be precisely what mommy-lover tried to protect her daughter from. Sorry, but I call bullshit! From a narrative point of view, this is quicksand. A series / film is always about the motivations of the characters. What do they stand for and what do they find important? Based on this motivation, you can question certain behavior too much. Question marks are never good. Then as a viewer you also get to choose the casting of this series. Unfortunately, nobody really adds anything to this series. There are simply no interesting characters around. With binoculars it would be difficult for me to spot an interesting character. Then it is only right that this kind of television is labeled as 'beautiful people television'? Let Mister be the first to say that I have absolutely nothing against beautiful people. Let's face it: of course a TV show / movie looks much easier if the people on the screen are pleasant to watch. Call it superficial, but the eye also wants something. From me you can stuff the entire screen with it, if that also means that there is good acting. But with a series like Shadowhunters (and unfortunately more and more series with 'teenagers' as protagonists) it becomes painfully clear that the looks are first looked at and then the acting. As a result, you get people on the screen who do nothing interesting with their role and in this case also look clearly older than teenagers. This makes sense, because the actors who portray Jace, Alec and Isabelle are 25, 28 and 26 years old respectively. In addition, I also expected more from the direction of MCG (Charlie's Angels, Terminator: Salvation). Despite his direction, the pilot of this series is not remarkable. Shadowhunters' first episode may look good, but it's all so superficial. So meaningless. This is television where you quickly think 'why should I watch this when there are so many better things to see'. Perhaps the series will appeal to the target group. Shadowhunters will be much less popular with anyone who is not immediately charmed by this type of series. No, I say with confidence that I will skip this very quickly, but also very quickly. www.meneervevie.com

I've followed the series until half of season 2 and found it to get less after that so I quit.
