"Apple's Silo (formerly announced as Wool), the new 10-episode drama series based on Hugh Howey's New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels, will premiere worldwide on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 5, 2023. Silo is created by Graham Yost (Band of Brothers, Justified), an Emmy-nominated screenwriter and showrunner, Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob, Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan) is nominated for an Academy Award and directs the first three episodes.
The world-building drama features an ensemble cast led by Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen), who also serves as an executive producer. Silo will premiere with the first two episodes, followed by a new episode every Friday until June 30, 2023 on Apple TV+.

Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on Earth, their miles deep home that protects them from the poisonous and deadly world beyond. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and anyone trying to find out will have fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who searches for answers about the murder of a loved one and stumbles upon a mystery far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don't kill you, the truth that does.
The ensemble cast alongside Ferguson includes Common (Hell On Wheels), Emmy nominee Harriet Walter (The Spanish Princess), Chinaza Uche (Dickinson), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead), Critics Choice Award and NAACP winner David Oyelowo (The Girl Before), Emmy nominee Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation), Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), and Academy Award winner Tim Robbins (Castle Rock).
Silo is produced for Apple TV+ by AMC Studios and is based on the novels by Hugh Howey. The series is produced by Yost, Howey, Tyldum and Ferguson, alongside Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon and Ingrid Escajeda."
