I watched Sneaker Wars: Adidas V. Puma thinking it would just be a fun documentary about sneakers. But it's actually more of a story about stubbornness. Two brothers, Adi and Rudi Dassler, who once made shoes together and eventually founded two global brands, simply because they couldn't stand each other anymore.

The docuseries is a joy to watch. Archive footage, sports heroes, shiny sneakers—it's all smooth, stylish, and tightly edited. Sometimes even too tightly. The pain, the bitterness, and the family betrayal remain somewhat at a distance; you're watching a beautifully crafted timeline rather than a true drama.

Yet there's something disarming about Sneaker Wars. Beneath all that brand violence lies a relatable human story: two brothers who both want to be right, and lose everything as a result. It's tragic, but also a touch funny, especially when you realize their feud ultimately generated billions.
