Sous contrôle is a French comedy series which aired on Arte. The series premiered on October 5, 2023.

In the Niger desert, five Europeans are kidnapped by terrorists and sold to the head of the AIAO, an Islamist African militia. At the same time, 45-year-old Marie Tessier, a former manager at the organization Doctors Without Borders, is starting a new job in the French Foreign Ministry. She is directly confronted with the ransom demand for the five hostages in Niger. This is your chance to take responsibility! There are different opinions in the ministry on how to deal with this: negotiate, send a command or wait. The president is clearly committed to negotiations, but he doesn't want to pay. However, the opposite is officially stated. Now it's up to Marie to save the hostages... and get everything "under control".
