Sphinx is een Nederlandse dramaserie te zien bij Videoland. De serie ging in première op 22 maart 2024.
In Sphinx volgen we het verhaal van de dertienjarig Minke Moorman die op een vroege ochtend onderweg naar school wordt ontvoerd. Op dezelfde dag drie jaar later duikt ze uit het niets weer op, met een mysterieuze sphinx-tatoeage op haar rug. Wanneer Minke weer thuis is en moet re-integreren, zorgt dit voor problemen bij zowel Minke als de andere leden van het gezin. Minke is Minke niet meer. Wat is er met haar gebeurd en wat betekenen de op haar rug getatoeëerde vleugels?

Watched first episode. Strong leading actors as parents, always a fan of seeing both in series. Enough exciting to keep watching. Good start.

Completely finished the series and am left with a strange feeling. The first 3 episodes really convinced me to continue watching. Still, I thought the 2nd half was a lot less. The actors look more like actors than they are real actors participating in a film or series. The last episode really went too far for me. Too bad, because the story was good. I always wonder why Nordics, noir, English, French, Walloon, Flemish, German and more and more other countries are able to make good series with good actors and keep everything more believable... Yet I have still gave a reasonable rating and hope that a 2nd season will provide some improvements.

The first 3 episodes are still nice. Mysterious and kind of exciting. But from part 4 onwards the tension drops rapidly and it sometimes becomes clumsy. Especially with the types that portray snake, lion and eagle. And again in this series the mix with Belgians. Which also mixes French and Dutch. Well then...an extra point for the brutal scenes.
