Filming back-to-back is something that is becoming more and more common. It is of course a lot cheaper if you only have to set up an entire production once, instead of getting a group back together at a later time. And also have various studios and recording locations at your disposal. That is what happened with Squid Game, as it now appears.
Because it has been announced that the filming of both season two and season three has been completed. The second season is scheduled to be released on Netflix in December 2024. So we don't have to wait very long for the third season. This will normally be released in 2025. In addition, it has been announced that the two seasons will each consist of seven episodes.
Returning cast members for the second season of Squid Game include Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, Wi Ha-joon as Hwang Jun-ho and Lee Buyong-hun as Hwang In-ho.
New actors include Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-shim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook and Choi Seung-hyun.
