Since Kurzman took over the franchise, nothing "worthy of Star Trek" has really been released. The only exception is the third season of Picard. And I think Lower Decks is really funny. But that's about it.

As a Star Trek fan, I'll give this series a try, but after three episodes, I doubt I'll stick with it. I also don't like Holly Hunter's voice for some reason. Tig Notaro is my favorite, though.

I'm halfway through the season now, but this is definitely not going to be it. Episode 1 was okay, although I have trouble making funny remarks during a threatening situation. After that, it becomes a kind of sci-fi Harry Potter. The WORLD content isn't too bad; it's a bit on the decline. But it's downright childish.

This is simply cringe-inducing to watch. It's oozing wokeism and can't be called serious at all. I really hope Kurzman leaves the Star Trek scene and that someone takes the franchise seriously and restores it to its former glory. I'm referring to a true successor to the TNG era. Hopefully, they're finally leaving the TOS era behind. TNG, DS9, and VOY were the most popular Star Trek series ever, and I think that's what true fans want to see again. I certainly do!

This isn't a TOS era series, but rather one set in the Discovery timeline. So, in the distant future, the 32nd century. So in that respect, you definitely got your way.
But that doesn't make this series any better. I couldn't even finish the first episode. What a terrible story and what terrible acting. This seems to have been written by people who hadn't watched anything Star Trek before they started. Kurzman killed Star Trek. That's for sure. I don't see much genuinely enthusiastic reaction online.
