Swimming with Sharks

Short but powerful, this series. The pitch is simple, put a great white shark among a school of tiger sharks and see what happens. The great white is Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka), but she is very good at pretending to be a sardine. Shipka is great, a female version of the main character in the Netflix series You. Soft on the outside, but as hard as diamond on the inside. Everything was good, the script, the soundtrack, the actors, the sets, everything, but sometimes it all feels a bit clinical. I think that's because the entire series setting also reflects Lou's inner life; the emptiness of Hollywood, the fierce competition within all levels of the movie business and the dishonesty within relationships among these 'sharks'. So for the fans of You, although I liked that series better. More human and softer.
