Switched at Birth is een Amerikaanse dramaserie van de zender Freeform. De serie ging in première op 6 juni 2011.
Switched at Birth draait om twee tiener meisjes die vlak na hun geboorte per ongeluk van ouders gewisseld zijn. Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) is opgegroeid in een rijk gezin met twee ouders en een broer terwijl de dove Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) door haar alleenstaande moeder in een arbeiderswijk wordt opgevoed. Als de twee familie's elkaar ontmoeten, weten de meiden niet goed meer wie ze zijn, omdat ze beide erg aangetrokken zijn tot elkaars ouders.

This series is indeed SUPER, at first I didn't know what to expect from it, I thought it would be about a different fam every week, but to my surprise it was always about the same SO FANTASTIC. Anyone here watching switched at birth on net5? I do, and I missed about the first quarter of an hour yesterday (07-11-2012: this is the color of my dreams). I went to see when pictures were being taken and the first day of school started. Can someone summarize the piece for that for me? Did I miss a lot? Last week on net 5 was indeed the last broadcast, at least of season 1. There is also a season 2, I think it starts somewhere early January on ABC Family. This is stated on the SBS site: "When will Switched at Birth be shown on Net5? Season 1 of Switched at Birth has unfortunately ended. It is not yet known when season 2 will be shown on Net5.
