Ted: The Animated Series ordered by Peacock

Ted: The Animated Series ordered by Peacock

Peacock has ordered an animated version of Seth MacFarlane's Ted comedy series and films.
A specific storyline for Ted: The Animated Series has not yet been revealed, but the series will be a sequel that picks up after the Ted films.

Ted

Seth MacFarlane will once again voice the foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted and will also executive produce all episodes of Ted: The Animated Series (working title), along with executive producers Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh (Modern Family), who also produced the live-action Ted series.

Mark Wahlberg as John, Amanda Seyfried as Sam and Jessica Barth as Tami-Lynn will also reprise their voice roles. Kyle Mooney of Saturday Night Live will join the cast to voice Apollo, while Liz Richman will play Ruth.

The animated adaptation follows the success of the first season of the live-action comedy series Ted. The series, which debuted in January 2024, broke records as Peacock’s most-watched original title to date and was the No. 1 streaming original comedy series in the U.S. for more than two months in a row, according to Nielsen. The series was recently renewed for a second season.

Ted: The Animated Series hails from UCP (part of Universal Studio Group), Fuzzy Door and MRC. Other executive producers include Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, Aimee Carlson (Fuzzy Door) and Claudia Katz (Rough Draft).

I hope this doesn't mean the live-action series won't continue. Because I'm looking forward to that. Not really to a cartoon series.
