I don't want to write that this series is bad, but it certainly isn't very good either, more like an 8/10. The first few episodes are just way too slow, endless close-ups (especially on Jessica Biel, who plays Chloé), musical intermezzos with screenshots of everything and anything... it felt like wasting time to me.

I thought this film adaptation of the novel by Alifair Burke would have been better done in four episodes. The last three episodes were very good. And exciting.

Chloé's sister's son, Ethan, plays his role in the series really fantastic. Sometimes he is sweet and gentle, two minutes later you are believing that maybe his father has killed, or not? Yes, they did that well, that tension of "did he do it, or not?".

I also really liked the scenes in court. And the flashbacks to Chloé and Nicole's youth are also well portrayed. Their dad is/was a creep and that really hits home.
