The first season of this series was the big success of Amazon Prime Video. Near the end of 2019, The Boys was renewed with a second season. Amazon Prime Video has now revealed that this new season will release on the streaming service on the 4th of September.
The first three episodes will release at once. Afterwards, a new episode will be released weekly. The second season will have eight episodes in total. Next to the actors from the first season, Aya Cash (You're The Worst) will also be part of the second season.
In The Boys a group of superheroes abuses their powers. The Boys find themselves in a struggle between the supers and powerless when they go on a heroic quest to figure out the truth between The Seven and Vought, a billion-dollar company that is responsible for the superheroes. They strive to figure out all their dirty secrets.
