Trailer available for upcoming Apple TV+ horror fantasy series The Changeling

"Would you know if you stepped into a fairy tale?" That question is asked in the gripping and eerie first trailer for Apple TV+'s The Changeling.

The Changeling is created by Kelly Marcel and directed by Melina Matsoukas (Insecure) and starring and executive produced by LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta).

It is based on Victor LaValle's bestseller of the same name and is a fairy tale for adults. According to Apple, The Changeling is "a horror story, a fable about parenting, and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you never knew existed."

In addition to Stanfield, Clark Backo (Designated Survivor), Adina Porter (American Horror Story), Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder (The Terminal List), Jared Abrahamson (Travelers (2016)) and special guest star Malcolm Barrett (Average Joe) also star in the series.

The Changeling

In The Changeling, the love story of Apollo (Stanfield) and Emma (Backo) is a fairy tale - until Emma mysteriously disappears and Apollo ends up on a perilous odyssey across NYC.

The Changeling was written and edited by showrunner and executive producer Marcel, with the pilot episode directed by Matsoukas.

The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna. Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu and Ali Krug serve as executive producers on behalf of Annapurna. Marcel, LaValle, David Knoller and director Jonathan van Tulleken produce with Stanfield. Matsoukas is an executive producer through her De La RevoluciĆ³n Films. Sue Naegle and David Wolkis also serve as executive producers and Khaliah Neal is co-executive producer.

The eight-episode The Changeling will debut worldwide with the first three episodes on Friday, September 8 on Apple TV+, followed by a new episode every Friday through October 13.
