I really expected more from The Mist. The series had a nice atmosphere, but for me the emphasis was too much on drama and too little on suspense, which made the story not really stick.
I thought the 2007 film was much stronger and to be honest, I expected the same from the series.
That the series ended after one season doesn't come as a surprise to me. With better development and more focus it could have definitely become something special.

Seen the last episode of the weekend. A 6 may indeed be spacious, but I still found it entertaining. Casting was mediocre, acting was just bad at times, lots of loose ends. Indeed it is better that there is only one season because otherwise this would really be milked to the bone, I'm afraid.
