Apple TV+ has renewed the American adventure series The Mosquito Coast with its second season. The final episode of the first season will air on the 4th of June.The Mosquito Coast takes place before the events of the book with the same name by Paul Theroux, which released in 1981. The story revolves around the obsessed, idealistic inventor Allie Fox, who is on the run for the American government. He and his family move to Mexico.
The six-episode first season premiered on Apple TV+ back in April. In the series, actor Justin Theroux (
Maniac (2018)) - cousin of author Paul Theroux - portrays one of the lead roles. He will return for more episodes as the series has been renewed with its second season.
