On the one hand, a logical yet unexpected denouement of what is the best series of 2016. Although the series was intended to end here because the story was initially set up as a standalone mini-series, the producers have already indicated that there is an opportunity to continue with the series, albeit with a different story. For those who like facts and have paid close attention while watching, the name of James Gandolfini will have noticed during the generic. This series was originally planned to have its premiere a few years earlier, but the death of the producer and then-lead actor, better known to most in his role of Tony Soprano, threw a spanner in the works. For a while it was considered to replace him with none other than Robert De Niro, but in the end the choice fell on John Turturro, who definitely delivered a brilliant performance. So thumbs up for a sequel!
Turturro is great. Just seen the episode that Chinese herb dude gives him a suspicious looking mixture. For the eczema on his feet. That's episode six and I'm not going to reveal what happened, but that this series is highly recommended for those who, like me, also love The Bridge or The Killing-like series. In terms of tempo and atmosphere and all that, I mean.
This goes straight to number uno in my list. What a wonderful series this is! Story, way of filming, but especially the acting is of a phenomenal level. Look!
